Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Hi, I'm 18 and i'v been suffering migraines for about 3 years but only in the past half a year have they got really bad. The only way to cure them is to sleep but i find that I always wake up with it but it has eased off a little but it intensifies in the day. I sleep on average 8-10 hours a night so I don't think it's sleep deprivation. I get nausea aswel. But the past week or so, when I'v got nausea I'v actually been sick violently, after it I can't bring myself to even drink water let alone eat. Does anyone else get this, and if anyone has got any advice it would be gratefully appreciated.
Do you get auras?.
Do you know what your triggers are? Mine are some types of food, bright lights, especially halogen or fluorescent lighting found in most retail stores and offices as well as hospitals. Also certain odors. When I was younger hormones also triggered them.
