Good day everyone! I have heard many folks say that they get auras before their migraines. I find that if I can head off a migraine with meds *before* it gets horrible, I have a better chance of relief. Unfortunately, I suck at identifying them until they are horrible.
So my question is for those of you who do get auras before your migraines. What is your aura like? Visual? Physical? Other? I recently started a journal to try to identify anything that happens consistently before my migraines, but would love to know what some of the forms that auras take for y'all. Thanks!

I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Every once in a while, the nausea will hit me hard before the migraine pain gets worse. Those are the only two things that let me know the migraine will be bad. Majority of the time, it just hits with no warning at all.
I also occasionally get visual auras and see spots of light. Recently, I had vision loss for a few minutes as an aura. If I'm reading, I get blurred vision. I can also get numbness in my arms.
Knowing your triggers and aura symptoms can really help reduce the amount of pain you feel during a migraine. I hope you find out what they are so you can have less severe migraines.
then the headache arrives. For me they are not too intense but it doesn't go quickly or with pain killers.
One time I was working on my computer and my line of vision got more and more narrow, and turned into kind of a kaleidoscope or prism. It was so weird, and only lasted a few minutes. I called the advice nurse and she said it was another form of an aura. It's never happened since like that.
