Methamphetamine is a synthetic stimulant drug used for both medicinal and recreational purposes. Methamphetamine is highly psychologically addictive. Like most stimulants, large doses of methamphetamine can result in a strong feeling of euphoria at the expense of physical fatigue and a strong "come-down" as the drug's effect wears off.

Why do they name it Meth Addiction? That's such a negative outlook because there is such thing as recovery.

I think they should rename this community Meth Recovery!!

Everyone that comes here is seeking some form of recovery because they wouldn't be on the site if not.

Honestly DS you should rename this community.

Thats such bullshit sorry but I know people thats 16 years clean and have had a line put in front of there nose and just get away from it.

It's a long process to recover but your not always addicted thats just such BS!

Even if your right it's still a negative name for a community. I think it would have more members and more positive support if it was Meth Recovery.

I just think more people would sign up and the community would be more active. I know that I was somewhat afriad to sign up because I am in recovery and always will be. I don't consider myself an addict nor do I fit the deffinition of an addict anymore, so am I in the wrong place? :)
I know nothing may be done, but I just think it would help the community.

The Ultimate goal is to not be an addict anymore and to be in Recovery.

I would pray that the people that come to this community are not hear to learn about addiction , but to learn about recovery.

I noticed if you go to the groups it is listed as addiction and recovery maybe it's just to lengthy for them to name it that. At least the Category is Addiction & Recovery

meth addiction & recovery
smoking addiction & recovery
marijuana addiction & recovery

you are right..more fit in to the recovery catagory and its much much more positive

maybe it should be called "recovery from meth" the name seems to bring those who are not interested in recovery yet or maybe they are looking to find exceptance and still use. I've been off it for over a year now and plan to stay off.
