Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
It used to be, and I mean not so long ago that every one would say to me oh you'r still young, now every one says oh it's your age. When the hell did that happen. I walked by a mirror today and thought wow, I look old. I really think menopause has aged me 10 years in only the last 2 years. I feel so freaking cheated some how! well so now what am I supposed to sit in a rocking chair, cause most days that's what I feel like doing.

I know what you mean. People used to think my grandchildren were my children. Now they know they are my grandchildren. On the weekends when they (gc) stay with me I am constantly going to keep up with the three of them. Once Mons. come I don't want to get outa my recliner. I have to force myself to get up and do things. I used to pride myself on a clean house. But now it takes me all week to clean just to have it start all over again. How can I do great on weekends but have no ambition during the week?

Hi racoonch, I don't have grandchildren yet. I started kinda of late for having kids my oldest is 22 and youngest is 14 and my 14 year makes me feel so old cause its hard to keep up with him. I don't know what i would do with grandchildren, but I really want them. It seems we do have to force our selves to do stuff and boy that really makes us feel old. Hey, you have a good night and lets not think about how old we are just what great rocking chairs we will buy next!. haha

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
