Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Sometimes they feel like that, othertimes they are just a really warm feeling. Or they can happen where you get really anxious right before and feel faint.
Sometimes I get soaked on the back of my neck and beneath the front of my bra strap. And afterwards you can feel very chilled, but not always.
I have had hot flashes that were brief and others that lasted for hours. Or maybe my face just gets red and flushed and I feel anxious but don't really sweat.
Here i've been assuming that it's just the hot weather that's been getting to me.
Some have it milder than others, and then some of us feel like we're having a heart attack.
I had a couple of those and was actually told to go to ER by my then (not current) GP!! THAT DID NOT HELP!!
I was not having a heart attack, they found nothing wrong and thought I was nuts!
YEY for being "TOO YOUNG!"
