Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
My OBGYN suggested progesterone. Does that work for anyone? Have had to take Xanax last 4 of 5 days.
How refreshing is it to know we are NOT going crazy. It is the stinking hormones that makes us that way. I do not take progesterone (because I do not have a uterus) and in my case my OBG does not recommend it. But I have read that it can help with anxiety so I would give it a try. I have never tried Xanax...but I think it is similar to Ativan. I have taken .5 of Ativan and it is amazing how well it works. I hate the buzzing under my skin too!!
