Boy, you sound JUST EXACTLY like me. I don't know what the Vivelle Dot Patch is or Provera, but I know that tired feeling. Mine is chronic, severe, and it has taken nearly everything I love to do away. I can't even handle having my oldest grandchild over more than once every couple of months or so because it takes so much effort for me to even get out of bed in the morning.

I am not on any meds but have noticed major fatigue over the past year. Doc checked my thyroid thinking maybe that was the issue, but it is working fine. It is to the point where if I sit still and stop moving I can easily just fall asleep. Never in my life have I felt this tired. Then add weight gain, hot flashes and mood swings to the mix. I am a mess!!! Just don't feel like myself. It seems to be perimenopause as I have most of the stated symptoms for that. Oh yay...my body is making changes all on it's own and I am just trying to cope. Lovely...

I have tried to maintain a healthy diet, get some exercise and plenty of sleep. Some days are beter than others. I wish I had some better advise or a magic cure for you!

Chronic fatigue is one of the many symptoms of menopause. I added a multivitamin into my daily routine and it seemed to help.

If only I had all the money I wasted on vitamins. I've bought so many different kinds, expensive ones... I'm sure they were healthy for me, but they made no difference at all with the fatigue or peri symptoms. In fact, I took them for years, then stopped, and.. no change in the way I feel, better or worse. :-/

And Belle, I know what you mean about too tired to do anything. I actually have an appointment today, not a dr appt, but I cancelled because I'm just too dead-tired to go. It was supposed to be fun too.... just... too tired.

Tired?? Tired?? I take the dog out in a morning and could quite happily curl up in the middle of a field and sleep forever!! Doctor wont give me HRT. Said my symptoms are because I am fat!! And she is so condecending. I dont want sex, I feel nothing. I hope that when she reaches menopause the one she has is the menopause from hell!! Sanctimonious cow!!

and just to add... I am not fat...just overweight slightly because I like food and the bloody menopause has made me so miserable. I workout everyday and walk about 20 miles per week.

I can't figure out if it is the menopause that makes me tired and depressed or if I am tired because I am depressed or what the heck is wrong. I just know I feel like I could sleep all day.
I am hoping to rest this weekend and start new on Monday. Meanwhile, the laundry needs to be done, the garbage taken out. Wish I had the energy to get up off the sofa.

Hi there, I can realate. always tired , even more so latetly. I have no more periods abt a year, but still get night sweats once in a while and tiredness. Even if I nap during day , still tired. It can be a drag, if u need to talk , just catch me here or send a message. TGC, Hilly

Jill2305... I love the "Sanctimonious cow" title you gave your doc. I think I'll think of that during my next visit with mine... she'll probably send me to the looney bin for not understanding why her patient.. just keeps giggling. ;P

i have been in bed since christmas, i never thought that the change could do so much damage to a person, i was given hrt 2 days ago, this took t 2 weeks, first doctor said get a hobby, knitting or the gym, went back the next day to another doctor,he gave me the tablets, said he was worried about the sleeping and that i was very low (oh and it could have something to do with the change)

Hi Belle,, Tired is my middle name lol menopause takes a toll on everyones body till like they say the change of live is over and become our youthfull self again ,,,, i myself cant wait to get ther lol,,,, all my kids ear me say latly is sorry i cant am to tired today,, hang in ther belle !tired or not i try to go for a long walk every day i find that excersise helps it wakes me up,, and feel better and up to do a bit of work ,,, hell if i know why it help might be cause uh????dont know lol but it really picks me up ,, its wierd but true,,, hug to you hang in ther ok

I literally almost died from menopause. I went into a severe illness that led to severe anxiety and depression for 2/ 1/2 years....I could not eat...lost 43 lbs in 3 months and was a stick who looked 80...I was malnourished, malabsorbed, mal everything. I came close to kicking the old bucket. Talk about tired. Many days I crawled on the floor, attempting to get myself my Pedialyte that I existed on. I had the menopause from hell, and I was on HRT. I am still not right....still battling low level depression and still have anxiety (didn't before menopause)...I used to teach special education for years and years....had to quit my job and retire. I am doing better, but all kinds of other problems are cropping up....I have several doctors working with me, and they have helped, but I don't think I'll ever be my old self. It sure wasn't what I expected!
