Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

My life is a mess right now my husband is terminal dying from a hideous disease called bulbar ALS and is on life support. Long story about everything so I just don't even want to explain it all because I just feel hopeless and that no one really cares. I have two special needs children one with autism and the other with HD she has two colostomies! Then theres me with this horrible hard time with change of life! No friends , no support and I have gone through one tragedy right after another including losing a son who went home to be with the Lord july 25th 2009. Then one son suffered T.B.I and then while in a coma suffered a massive stroke. Well the horrid life just goes on and has NEVER been good. I was sitting in the bath room (it's where I cry a lot so kids don't see me) and the thought came to me "does it hurt to shot yourself" Then another thought "i'm gonna buy a gun" I shook my head and shook those thoughts. I do feel very depressed, hopeless and just down right tired of life and all the tragedy it has for me. I don't know if the menopause is making this situation in my life worse or what. I also have one other problems that I won't bother boring everyone with. The main thing I guess is how do you get hope back with your life seems so hopeless? My husband is wasting away, he is totally paralyzed including his diaphragm and can only move his eyes. He is locked in his own body and there is no way I can make him better! My only comfort has been food which is killing me i have gained well over 100 pounds! My sone with autism cries so much over his dads suffering. I just down't see alight at the end of the tunnel. I do not enjoy ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT LIFE! Do you all think this is made worse by the menopause? My grown children are no support at all! I have not got one friend to turn to for support you know emotionally . Well I don't want to make this any longer but thought I would just ask.

I am so sorry for all your suffering. I think menopause makes every thing 10 times worse as they say. I am alone too. I have one friend that I talk to on the phone, but that is it. I don't go out a lot except to my doctors appointments and the the store. but only when some one is taking me. I just feel really bad for you and have no words of wisdom. I just am thinking of you and am going to pray right now that you have hope once again. Your going through so much and just want you to know that you are loved and your family needs you and loves you!. Vicki.

OH my Polar bear, I been feeling sorry for myself because of the change of life stuff making my life so crazy for 7 years. It gets old after a while. After reading what your going through I just want to cry. I feel for you. The worst part is most people can't handle when stuff is bad in your life. Most people only want to hear good and that's the sad sad truth. I feel so bad for what your going through day in and day out. You definitely need support to get to a stronger place. Can you seek some sort of counseling as your going though this where it can be free. Possibly through health dept or hospice. Do you have any family and friends that can help you through. We are here for you at this menopause support group. I tell you I know more people that go through a harder time during menopause when they have a lot of stresses in their lives. At least that is the way it seems from people and friends I been speaking too. I truely hope and pray god gives you strength to get through this . Hang in there!
