Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Hello, I had my ovaries removed after my child was born and have been on hrt for 3 years now. I can't do anything with out sweating really bad and my face gets all flushed. I told my doctor but he asked me if I start to have a flash and does it go away and I said no I just stay hot all the time. I have gotten to where I don't want to do anything because my face gets red and sweaty whenever I do the least little thing. I don't even wear makeup anymore because I sweat if off. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Its getting very annoying. I sweat as soon as I walk out of the shower! This is totally ridiculous. Right now I'm trying the Black Cohosh again. But I know there's got to be someone out there to take, some kind of herb, but I haven't figured it out yet. I agree with you, I just can't stop sweating. Hope someone gives us an idea. Good luck!

Thanks! Its just good to know I am not alone in this. I know about the shower thing too. I don't see how I don't dehydrate. lol PLus I have a 3 year old and by the time I get dressed and get her dressed I feel like I've just run a marathon. I can't even leave the house and I'm sweating from putting her in her car seat and getting her things in the car. I turn the air up and put it right on my face.

Yep the whole thing is just horrible really and there seems little progress having been made in recent years to find something for women that does actually work and is safe to take for however long.I recently left my job working with herbal remedies. One thing I learnt was that a combination of herbs work better together than one single herb on its own. I have read that wiping ones body with apple cider vinegar before bed will prevent night sweats. Havent tried it. The herb sage is very good at reducing the body temperature also.

I am having some sweeting issues but they change as I try a different hormone pill to find one that works for me. If you are taking hormones pills you may need to see about reevaluating what you are taking. I have read that yams are high in estrogen and thus good for hormone issues; i am not crazy about yams but i might give it them a try with a good recipe. best wishes. I get so sleepy sometimes and can not stay awake; i do not know if this is just my body trying to heal or if it is hormone related with the new pill? I used progesterone cream and it helps with the sweeting big time before my hysto.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
