Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I just began bio-estrogen/testosterone cream, Vitamin D, DHEA, and Cortisol two weeks ago. My doctor also added Vitamin BComplex, Vitamin C, and an herb called Ashwagandha. I too thought the sound of the herb was weird and was skeptical but have done my research on everything Im taking I feel confident about it. I dont know what levels your doctor checked but mine checked not only estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, DHEA, Cortisol, and Vitamin D, as well as my thyroid levels. I was very deficient in DHEA, Cortisol, and Vitamin D. my DHEA, Cortisol (stress hormone), and that is why she added those to my regimen as well as Vitamin BComplex and Vitamin C, and the herb Ashwagandha today. I suffer from anxiety as well. It takes a bit of time to nudge your body to go a different direction. When I first began my regimen I had 4 really WOW kind of days where I felt exceptionally good, then felt I slid downhill a little back in to the same rut, but my compounding pharmacist encouraged me not to be discouraged and hang in there because things will turn around. Do some research on DHEA, Cortisol, Vitamin BComplex, Vitamin D, and Ashwagandha and you will find out what they do and how they assist you in menopause. My compounding pharmacist carries the Ashwagandha and my doctor knows Im taking it as well. You can also purchase it online at RockwellNutrition.com for $16.90. It is called Pure Encapsulations Ashwagandha. I trust this site because I learned that it is only sold to dealers on sites that have a pharmacist or nutritionist on staff. But please ask your doctor and/or pharmacist about it before you take it on your own. I take one in the morning about 8 am and one at 2-3 pm. The DHEA has given me energy, the Vitamin D helps with depression, the progesterone helps with sleep, and the Ashwagandha is supposed to help calm you and even you out. We just have to give this stuff time to take hold for us to feel better. Best WIshes!
It might also be a good idea for you to get in touch with your doctor and discuss how you're feeling right now so they know where you are with your current regimen. Your physician should be able to refer you to a competent counselor.
I hope this day is kind to you. k
