Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Some other harmless things that can cause bleeding are a too thin (atrophied) endometrial lining or even vaginal atrophy (although this would likely be just spotting).
So thankfully, it's probably nothing serious but you may want to check in with your doctor.
Do get a checkup, but don't be alarmed. It's all part of the Meno Roller Coaster!
Fun time huh?
I have been post meno as of 12/2010 and have had two bleeding episodes- one when my daughter and her 4 yr. significant other parted ways to her dismay and one when my young close family member passed away suddenly.
