Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Jeannie
I was about 37 when I first noticed the anxiety, depression and mood swings. Very touchy feelings too. Thought I was losing my mind! Went to the GYN (old geezer) and he said nothing was wrong - take anti-depressants.
I took them for a while and didn't see much improvement. Thankfully, it didn't last forever. Symptoms come and go.
Hang in there!
Oh and welcome to DS.
