Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

I too felt that way...totally fatigued, depression, anxiety, insomnia, no sex drive, hot flushes, mood swings...it got so bad I had to go on hormones and it all dissipated. I still dont feel like I used to when my body was making tons of estrogen because hormone replacement only gives you a little of what your own body naturally made a lot of but I feel sooo much better than I did taking nothing. Planning on staying on it a year or two and then come off. There are several options out there such as synthetic or bio-identical hormones. I'd talk to your OBGYN, no need to suffer needlessly, but if you arent wanting to take anything I understand that too. There are several OTC remedies as well. Best Wishes!

That's exactly how i feel - not excited about ANYTHING!!! I've tried so many natural remedies, but I'm thinking about bio-identical hormones.

I never found any of the otc's that addressed the lack of sexual desire. My bio's really help that though.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
