Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Today is a joint sore day. I hate these! All my joints are sore and I feel like i am in the body of an old woman.
This has got to be hormonal as I don't have this all the time, only certain times a month, seems to be about two weeks after my last period.
I would love to know if any of you have joint pain as well and what you take for it. I'm interested in herbal meds, not prescription ones

I have muscle pain that are not in the joints. I have tight muscles. My neck gets very tight. I have done PT, massage, acupuncture and none of these helped. Medication was not useful. I find Yoga really helps me now. Mostly I try not to focus on it. See a doctor to see if you can get a diagnosis. It might be arthritis. I have a friend who got bad joint pain after having a hysterectomy. She has been told that Yoga would help her. I hope you feel better.

I think Glucosamin Chondroitin (a supplement) is supposed to be helpful for joint pain. Also, a product called Joint Juice. One thing I found that helps is an 81 mg Low Dose Bayer aspirin. I have had to take it as a blood thinner and found that my taking it twice a day relieved all my inflammation and joint pain. I had to go down to 1x day due not being able to take it so frequently because of an ulcer but even going down to 1x day I have found my joints dont hurt, and its a small dose. Best Wishes, I know how joints can bother a person as we are in menopause. Judy

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
