Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
As a result, I lost 15 lbs., which is the ONLY thing positive about going through this. But believe me, I'd much rather have those pounds back if it didn't mean laying in bed holding my abdomen and moaning for 1-2 days. It's hell. I've just upped my dosage of HRT patch in an attempt to stem this symptom along with the depression and dementia that I also get. Hope it works.
Anyway, good luck to you!
In the last 4-5 years since this crap started, the only positive I've seen is a change in my hair texture (no more perms to straighten the curl!!)Oh, yeah, and I have an adorable grandson (does that count?)
Sagey - u r hilarious!!
