Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
How did your psychiatrist apt go?
I saw one back when I first started feeling bad. She gave me trazedone for sleep which didn't work at all. It made me way worse. I called, but was told I would have to come back in in order to try something else. I ended up going to my gp, and she gave me the ambien. I was, and still am so confused as to where to go, and who to see to try and get better. I decided to try and stick with the online counseling because of my job, and also because our insurance does not cover mental health.
Hope your day is good!
I tried Zoloft also for 3 months. I don't think I can take antidepressants at all. I've tried 3 different ones with no relief. I can't function when on them, and I have uncontrollable shaking. I wish they worked for me. I've read lots of success stories where they do work for others. And I hope it works for you.
I have had migraines before, but it's been quite awhile since I've had one thank goodness. I hope you feel better soon, and you have a good weekend as well.
Hope the dr can find something that works for you. It's so frustrating going through meds trying to find the right one. The side effects can be horrible.
Well wishes..
I finally went to a Naturopath who did the bloodwork my dr wouldn't . Turns out my progesterone low and Cortisol high. She put me on Holy Basil twice a day ( have not noticed much of a change but it's only been a week). She also gave me GABA supplement for anxiety as needed . (1-2 a day)
My point is try a Naturopath. I'm being told this is all natural. I relate to your struggles, I feel isolated and worried that my family will tire of me as they become frustrated.
Prayers for you to feel better, and adjust to all of these hormone imbalances, as well as the changes in your life. And yes we always have hope for a miracle.
I'm getting so angry at myself for not being able to get control.
How have you been doing?
