Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Point being, if you can hold out (as long as it's nothing serious) wait and see if it doesn't go away once your cycle ends. I go through this a lot with different symptoms. One month I had acid reflux which I've never had and as soon as I got and was done my period, the reflux went too.
Too many women are being medicated for no reason. If everyone would just wait it out, they may also see that this is just a temporary thing and it will go away.
Hope you get to the bottom of this soon. Be assured though that this is definitely a pretty common symptom of meno.
Good Luck, Donna
It is quite scary to feel the anxiety surge through my body and to feel my head is under water or something. It's hard to explain but clearly I am not the only one who gets this.
That's what I love about this group, I have yet to be unique, lol
I'm sorry you've been dealing with this for so long.
I'm puzzled about something you said:
"im scared to have hystorectomy. im very big and have high colestorol. live on third floor, etc. if i wasnt so big i would probly do it. but im scared."
Are you thinking a hysterectomy would resolve the depression and anxiety? I was never depressed or anxious in my life until after my hysterectomy. It hit like a brick wall and although it's been 4-1/2 years, I'm still struggling just not nearly as bad as that first couple of years. This is fairly common after hysterectomy due to the hormonal / chemical havoc it causes. Yet gyns don't usually mention this nor most of the other adverse effects.
