Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I have been dealing with dry eyes, dizziness and anemia due to fibroids for years. This January I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. I knew I had irregular heartbeat but did not feel it til January. Turns out I have benign preventricular contractions (pvc...extra heartbeat). At the time the docs put me on betablocker and I had all the tests. My heart is apparently fine. I came off beta blocker the following month and I though the internal tremors 'buzzing' was a beta blocker symptom. No, it is still with me now in mid April. I know I am peri menopausal from last year when my gynae did testing. And so here I am after much panicking and feeling on the edge of madness, I have calmed down and gotten a hold of the anxiety. I KNOW the PVCs start up at period time (I am still regular). The buzzing does its own thing BUT I have stopped eating cheese, liver sausage, steak, pickles and anything else 'aged' and I notice it reduces the buzzing. They all contain tyramine. Please read this link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyramine. It may help. I just cheated today and ate some Manchego cheese..oh boy, the buzzing started within 10 mins and still going!
I have also added Vit D, B complex, Vit D to help at the advice of my FEMALE cardiologist who suggested the peri menopause started my pvcs. Its so encouraging to read others similar tales. Thank you for easing the burden and I hope the Tyramine info may help some of you :)
