Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
All three of these doctors are world-class at a world-class medical center, and they make other doctors look like the are practicing in the dark ages. My world-class GYN saved me from two completely unnecessary invasive procedures and educated me about the so-called "problem" which resolved itself (a tiny polyp that dissolved and disappeared on its own).
One more thing: After being told I need knee surgery (when my instincts told me otherwise, the problem was just NOT THAT BAD), I went to a non-surgical sports medicine doctor who, in so many words, confirmed that the clown who wanted to operate on my knee was just looking to perform another unnecessary surgery to increase his already bulging profits.
My advice: Stay away from doctors who are "in business" whether owned by a corporation, or who have their own group practice. Some are OK, many are NOT. Go to a medical center that teaches if possible. Otherwise, choose very carefully, and ALWAYS seek second and third opinions for ANY surgical procedure.
I do not have a lot of money, but I think my body is worth spending money on before my car, my house, or anything else for that matter. If you have a major health problem that is on-going, you need to look elsewhere for help. Usually, this means just one or two office visits out of pocket- it is well worth it.
Best wishes,
