Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I been doing some research and asked a lot about this, I haven't had incontinence but the same as raccoonch extreme urge but can still hold.
I spoke to a physiotherapist and she mentioned the kengel balls (Chinese balls), people think they are for sexual purpose but it is one of the most effective ways to strengthen the pelvic walls and prevent incontinence. They are actually Japanese. I'm going to find out next week where to buy them and I think I'm going to give them a try but I don't have clear one thing, in some places it says its better to get the ones with a small ball inside and most of the ones in the chemists don't have it they just have different weights. They say it is better because your muscles respond to the vibration of the small ball inside and contract. Any one tried?
I told her about Kegal exercises and she said they didn't work. I suppose it was too late. I am doing them myself when I think of it. I also am feeling the urge to urinate more frequently which made me think of diabetes but I barely go to the bathroom. It's just like a pressure to go but no urine comes out. What else is next?
