Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
This is also my 2nd full year, well Oct. it will be. At least for me I think the worst was the 1st year. Every month was something different. I'm glad I wait it out because whatever is going on with me that month always goes away. Otherwise I'd be on all kinds of meds. I am also going through this naturally.
Hang in there win111 ! ! ! Hopefully it won't last long.
Welcome to the group! And Magical, I hear what you are saying about too many symptoms! I liken it to when the kids were teething ...
Crying for no reason? Cranky? Up at all hours of the night wanting your Mommy? Drooling? Must be menopause!!!
I've come to expect the unexpected, and I'm still getting wacky periods, so that means I'm in Perimenopause.
I have never been diagnosed (and as a nurse, you know what people have to go through to be actually diagnosed with hypoglycemia) but I believe I have had episodes of low blood sugar that have caused altered mental states (like fugue) and other strange symptoms. Very infrequent, but I am aware when it happens now, and instead of thinking I'm going off the deep end, I eat something!
I'm the kind of person that forgets to eat sometimes, when I am busy or having fun!
I hope it gets better too! Every day is an "adventure"!!!
By the way, you both have beautiful avatar pics! : )
Keep in touch - we care!
Does that say "I'm pretty" ? Too funny!
I'm with you on the forgetting to eat. How the heck does one foget
to eat? I do it a lot. Like today I had a granola bar at lunch and 3
chicken nuggets & 2 spoonfuls of mac n cheese for dinner.
No wonder I feel lightheaded. lol
Glad your hanging win111. Hopefully you'll find what works for
you to make this transition a little more easy.
Take it easy ladies, Donna
