Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

I'm tired of being told that I'm crazy! I honestly think that my first phase of menopause was hot feet at night. Burning. Hot. Feet. This went on for two years before I had any other "symptoms." I had no idea what was going on because I was only 35.
It took hitting the depression cycle and the night sweats and more failed doctors appointments (blood tests always come out just fine) than I can count before I finally asked my mom. She told me that our family goes through it early, although not as early as me, and that it's pretty simple. Five years and done. Of course, I'm the first in a long line of family members who has never been pregnant, which I fully believe makes a difference.
Well, eight years later, it still sucks. Thank god I don't have hot flashes; only night sweats and HOT FEET. And horrible periods; debilitating cramps for the second day and a flow so heavy that I double pad to make it through one hour. That, apparently is normal. But I need an answer for the HOT FEET. It's making me crazy. Someone...anyone????

Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Suey, no, it's defintiely not pins and needles for me. But you do bring up an excellent point about a possible cause for it. I think I'll brave up and ask my doctor on my next appointment if there might be any connection.
I wear slip on and take them off whenever I can. I am in year 3 of premenopause I have excessive bleeding often but for the first time in 3 year not during the holidays.
3 months of no bleeding and hoping daily it is coming to an end....
But since the bleeding stopped I have weight gain and thats not good either.
I have a new problem my hands are doing it now like a presure pushing from the inside but they are not covered and I have nothing to take off. What will happen next.
winksthin, I think I know what you mean about the pressure. In my case, it's water retention. They just swell up for no reason until they feel like they're going to burst, then return to normal. It used to only happen right before my period, but now it's just a free-for-all.
Yeesh. Hot feet. Man hands. I'm a mess ;-)
Hope this helps someone else out there:)
