Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

I have been feeling good. This is my good two weeks of the month, but I woke at 2am shaking and had a pretty bad anxiety attack. It was like I could hear my heart beating. I washed my face, laid back down, turned on a movie and took 1/2 of an Ativan. It helped but since I got up this morning I just feel dizzy, weak, shaky, etc. I hate feeling this way. I am praying that tomorrow will be better.

PANIC IS SUCH A PAIN IN THE BUTT. IT MAKES US FEEL AS THOUGH WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT. BUT WE KNOW DIFFRENT:) IT WILL PASS AS THEY ALWAYS DO. WHEN I FEEL IT COMING ON, (WHICH MINE ARE ALWAYS DURING THE DAYTIME), I GRAB A GLASS OF WATER AND JUST FIND A COMFY PLACE AND TALK MYSELF THROUGH IT, NOOO FUN. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I DID WAKE IN THE NIGHT WITH THE PANIC YOU ARE DESCRIBING. YOU WILL BE OK. THEY SAY WE HAVE THESE THINGS DUE TO ALOT OF REASONS. I DO KNOW THAT I SUFFERED MOST OF MY LIFE WITH ANXIETY, BUT NOW YOU ADD PERIMENO, WOW WHAT A RIDE:) WE WILL GET THROUGH IT TOGETHER. STAY STRONG, AND REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER REAL SOON:) GOD BLESS!!

sdwill, I know exactly what you are going through. I have about a good 1 1/2 week out of each month. I have panic attacks almost daily. I do deep breathing exercises. When I feel the anxiey coming on, I try and do some type of exercise walking on my treadmill, stretching, etc. I have night sweats almost every night and wake up so tired and antsy. I do take 1/2 tablet of Klonopin in the morning and at night which has helped a lot. I also take vitamins everyday, Centrum silver, Calcium w/vitamin D and magnesium, Omega 3 with fish oil, vitamin E. I know on the bad days I get very fatigued and moody. I try to stay to myself and do as little as possible. I do work from home so it is a little easier for me. Read my profile and you will see all that I have been through and still going through just to get a handle on my life now. I am 46 years old and all of this started when I was 44 and I thought that I was going crazy. My husband thought everything was in my head, but now he sees that this has consumed me and I am trying to take back control of my body. I wish you luck and I know the good days are great, but the bad days outweigh them. Stay strong. DebbT

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
