Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
What your experiencing are pvc's. (pre-ventricular contractions) It's when an otherwise on time beat beats before it's supposed to. It feels like your heart is skipping a beat but it's actually just coming before it's supposed to but the next beat comes on time leaving a longer space between the 2. It's totally harmless in an otherwise healthy heart. Best to get checked though because it is also a sign of heart disease or other more serious heart issues. I've had them for over 13 years now and have never had a problem. Sometimes they do get to me when I get a bunch of them in a row but for the most part I've learned to live with it. Can be very un-nerving at times. I feel the flutters sometimes too but
not that often. Not sure if that has anything to do with the atrial
instead of ventricular. Maybe somebody else would know that.
Oh, and the eye thing, my left eye twitched for 6 months every single day. Drove me nuts but was just glad that it wasn't life
threatening although at times I wondered. Although that has
stopped I still get it sometimes when I have my period like right
this minute as I type.
Sounds like your normal to me anyway. lol
