Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Hope you can cut yourself a break and pat yourself on the back for all you are accomplishing!
I know we will all get through this, but it sure it a lot harder than I thought it would be.
Take care of yourself!
Anyway, my husband has severe cataracts and has had 1 eye surgery on Feb 14. A week later he had a minor heart attack and ended up with 2 stents. I have 3 teenage and young adult boys, 2 of which have mental problems. I am the only driver so I am on the run from sun up to sun down and now have my husbands cardiac therapy to com[plicate my schedule more. I do understand the overwhelming feelings.
I have put my struggles with menopause on hold for now as best I can and have to be there and on it for my husband.
Take care and God Bless.
and I ride my motorcycle to and from work, that cheers me up..I live in So. cal..so we're already having spring weather..that helps...
I hope you can find some time for yourself to relax.
Take care all!
I am 49. I started having hot flashes 10 years ago. I am glad at least that part is over LOL. I know what work it can be to be a caregiver. My Mom had a major stroke and was left vertually helpless. After a lengthy hospital stay I became her sole caregiver, my Dad had dementia so he really couldn't help. It was a 24/7 job that I did happily for the rest of her time with us. After her death my Dad rapidly desended and I took care of him until he became to combative for me to deal with (he would beat my husband and I was afraid for my children). He too has now passed. Its because of these factors I do not want to take HT. I read the paperwork on it and both of these increase in intsance with HT. I can't do that to my kids if I can help it. I can endure these few years if it means a better time later in life. Does that makes sense?
