Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
My older sister told me she stopped having periods for a full year and then they restarted, and then stopped again for good after about another year.
I've been in peri for a while now but still have had regular periods except for the beginning of 2010 but since they've been very regular. As I said, like clockwork.
This is now day 3 of just a bit of brownish discharge (really dark brown) but not enough to show on my maxipad. I still have a bit of cramping off and on.
Sigh.
I did google it and it appears that it's hormonal goofiness?
Glad to hear I'm not alone though
I just went thru this for 2 Months..Just some brownish discharge, or I guess it is Decomposed blood, seeping out very slowly.
FREAKED me OUT...cause Even THO my Cycles had been coming Closer together, they HAD been Regular. Finally the day before Christmas it started back up all nice and Normal Like.
My Body Hates me.

I am down to 2 periods a year and was due for one last month but all I had was a day of light brown discharge. I had the cramps though for about 4 days. Even though I only am having 2 periods a year now, some months will be like this, maybe only cramps and no discharge though.
