Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Benign cysts in the ovarie gave me period like pains and it very much felt like cramp (but probably wasn't as the ovary itself isn't muscular), the appeared after a failed pregnancy and I was told at the time that the hormonal change was probably the cause and put on a low dose of bcp to help calm the hormonal fluctuation. It seemed to do the trick.
I was at that time experiencing (without realizing it) menopausal symptoms, so perhaps (and I am guessing here) it could be a change caused by The Change.
Discomfort and pain doesn't come from nothing, so go see a Dr.
