Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Hope that helps a little.

Yes, find an endocrinologist that will work with you and help you look for a more longterm solution. I am also doing bio-identicals and would not be without them.
Good luck,
Jan
I think you are both probably right and have been thinking of going to an endocrinologist. I am somewhat afraid of just going off the Wellbutrin now because of withdrawal effects. I have only been on it for 1 month, so that is in my favor. This perimenopause stuff is horrible. I wish I could just fastforward through this part of life.
Thanks ladies,
Julie
The only thing I will say about the wellbutrin is that is has helped a slight bit with the anxiety, but not the depression - so it is a toss up whether I will stay on it or not, or switch to something else. Are you in menopause?
