Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Over the years, how many of you have had long periods with no attacks?
I had a cluster last spring, nothing for 10 months, and now a cluster over 6 weeks. My affected ear "cleared" this week (still have ringing but no fullness, and my hearing is much better). Fullness in the ear (feels plugged) was my first clue that attacks were probably coming.
I'm wondering what to expect. I know we can't really know, but I'd like to hear from lots of you. Thank you.

Good luck it could be days, weeks or months between your attacks, I have noever gone over 2 months without an attack.

WHILE ALL I CAN SAY IS MINE LAST FOR WEEKS AND GONE FOR WEEKS THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING BE NICE IF WE COULD FIGURE THAT OUT ,I AM RINGING OFF THE HOOK RIGHT NOW AND OFF BALANCE AND SO TIRED. GOOD LUCK HUGS SHIRLEY

The longest I have gone is 12 days between attacks.

I go about 3 months between attacks and then a cluster comes and I have the episode for about 2 days and get relief for about 1 day then it comes back again. It does this for weeks and then goes away for a few months.

i had a cluster of attacks lasting six weeks,ten day beaks in between the three six weekers,then nothing for 10 months.and today here we go again............it's back with a vengence............good luck to you it's so unpredictable

yea i know it is tricky. mine come and go strangly it is hard to know what is gonna happen next. i can go days,never weeks without a attack. good luck,and keep me posted! jessica

I have gone into remission for years. In fact, I went from sometime in 2007 until fall of 2011 with no vertigo. In the fall Of 2011 had a cluster of vertigo attacks. Then went a few weeks at a time between them. Then in feb started having them daily. That lasted about 3 months. Then they started spreading back out, and now I haven't had vertigo in 2.5 weeks although I have frequent dizziness. I'm hoping I'm working my way back into remission. But its so unpredictable I really don't know.
