Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Haven't been here for almost 2 years I have been doing good up until now .
After my last attack I eliminated caffeine and have been doing well , last week I guess I consumed too much salt and and after reading Food triggers- reaction time and found that baking powder and baking soda were a trigger too I guess I can only blame myself.
I ate some cold cuts and got carried away with some oatmeal cookies too. You live and learn, looks like there are a few more things I need to eliminate from my diet.
Saw the DR today and he told me that was probably the trigger. Been dizzy now for 6 days, not so bad that I cannot get around but enough that I do not want to do much, Thank God I retired the first of March as I know I could not work like this .
Been getting a little better every day but DR told me it might take up to 3-4 week before I return to normal. Going to be good for now on except a drink from time to time. On the up side of this is I have very little appetite and have lost a few pounds this week , just hope that will keep up LOL. but with out the dizzy's .

I hope things get under control soon and maybe you can get back to fishing. I use to surf fish in Fla every chance I could. It was the one sport I didn't care if I got fish or not, just the time on the beach and the sound of the ocean was awesome enough! Get those sand fleas and cut bait ready!

I hope your dizziness settles quickly into just boring steady!!!! I love quiet steady days.
