I'm worse in the summer and until the fall weather gets settled. Once that happens, I'm pretty good for a few months.

HI , I USE TO BE BEST IN THE SUMMER, FALL WAS OK AN WINTER. SPRING HAS ALWAYS BEEN NOT SO GOOD. WELL NOW MY ALLERGY'S HAS KICKED IN AN I HAVE BEEN BAD SINCE EARLY SPRING. I AM NOT DOING ALLERGY SHOTS HOPING IT WILL HELP.
I AM HOPING ONCE WE GET A GOOD FREEZE THIS FALL I WILL FEEL BETTER, SINCE THE ALLERGY'S IS A BIG TRIGGER FOR MM.

Yep, and I don't think it affects any 2 people the same way.

so far i am not aware what makes it worse,only thing i know is looking down can trigger it and has done often,not very nice in the middle of lunch or dinner lol

Yes weather does affect some of us. For me it is early March through to May that are the worse times. I started Vinpocetine early this year, am doing much better. No attacks for about three months so far. I still get brain fog before a rain, but it is manageable, no great concerns. My test will be this coming March..... I hope I will be ok.

When the weather changeing my is bad! I hate when we go thru fall,winter,spring,summer cause I know my vertigo going flare up!

My MD has been "inactive" for the most part for the last 5 years. I usually only have 5 or 6 attacks a year now, most of which are in the winter. Having said that, the past two summers I have had one big bad attack with debilitating vertigo and all the fun stuff that comes it with that latest 5-7 days each summer for the past two years.

I have been reading a lot of entries, and there seems to be one thing consistent with Menieres -- it is a little different for everyone.
I thought my attacks were associated with winter. Now I am thinking, they are on a cycle. It just so happens, that my attacks start in December and end in March. Others seem to have their attacks at a different time of the year. I am in my third year and not looking forward to winter.
I was examined by a specialist in June. He had thousands of dollars of tests done. Blood work for an autoimmune disease of the inner ear; which came out fine. I had allergy testing done to see if I was allergic to anything indoors. That didnt look likely after the results. I had a test ( I cant remember the name) where goggles make the room dark and they can see your eye movement when they perform different moves.. Not to mention vestibule therapy. It is nice to know, I am perfectly healthy. Except
After all of these doctor visits and tests, they determine I have Menieres disease at stage II. They didnt say what stage II means. And I should continue on a no caffeine, low salt diet. Continue to take the diuretic and hope it doesnt get worse.
I have to admit, I dont have it as bad as some. I can still hear out of one ear and have 50% in my bad ear. I only have the severe dizzy spells for four months. The constant struggle to try to work is very tiring.
As winter approaches, I am going to pay special attention to removing as much salt out of my diet as possible and try to get plenty of rest. I think MSG is a trigger and have to be careful when eating out

It could be. I know the doctor told me to avoid Chinese food. It's been a long time since I was first diagnosed, so I don't recall the exact reasoning, but I'm thinking it's because of the MSG that's in many of them. (BTW, I love the pic in your avatar.)

I believe that if you have allergies that are common in the fall ( depending on where you are at) you will have inflammation. With that, if it affects your ears, then you can get more spells. I also noticed that there are a lot of mushrooms in my neck of the woods lately. Maybe spores are releasing and wreaking havoc on all of us with allergies!

every fall it gets bad/...i get about 3 monthes no symptoms..20 yrs been this way...

From April until the fist week of July I have non-stop attacks. I'm good until the end of August and then have attacks (not as bad as the spring/summer) until November. And, then the cycle continues. I had this disease for 15-years--with a few years where the disease seemed to go into remission. However, it's back again. I'm thinking about getting Gentamicin injections but, I'm scared too death!
