No! just dizziness and unbalance feeling while stad still. You may have a anxiety attack because all the MD episode and check your blood pressure. i hope that you get better soon and please take good care.

When spinning first started, I wnt to emergency because I thought I might be having a Hearty tack. So now i know its due to MD. They ruled out heart . Just a symptom.

I agree with the blood pressure caution. My daughter has a condition where there is not enough pressure to bring her blood back to her heart and she will feel like passing out. Many things aggravate it and one of them is stress.Menieres is very stressful so it could affect your blood pressure

Wow. I went to my GI doctor and my blood pressure was 148/78. You may be right. I almost pass out last year summer because it was too high and then drop. I have being stress out a lot lately due to MD and having to go to the center for hard of hearing and communication. I kind of cry my way to work Thursday and then Friday I almost pass out. But I do not feel good today the ringing in my ear and my balance is off and I feel sick to my stomach. Plus ear discomfort and feel a bit drain and sick. I may go for therapy to help me deal with this disease better.

My primary will not listen. The Center for Hard of hearing and communication is the only support thats offer now.

If you have the chance to get some psychological support I recommend it. I already had my support system in place for other reasons but MD is a long time challenge with ups and downs so I will keep it in place for the times it hard to cope. It has been invaluable so far. There was a week when I didn't cope at all and I took it to my therapist and she gave me a very good practical thing to do and it really works. I am not sure which is worse, the physical parts of MD or the fact that it wears you out and steals your life and independence. Take care of yourself.

Actually the Friday I almost pass out. My MD kicks in the following day and three days after I still was sick and look sick. Plus my balance was crazy. I had a lot of support for my church and other friends. Last night my ears hurt so much and now its rings like crazy. I am making steps to get therapy. Thanks.

I feel like that before an episode also. People say its not Meniere's related, but it never used to happen before my ear problems started.

I too think it is an episode of MD cause when I came home I felt like thrown up. It was an weird.

My moms MD affects her heart. She thought she was having heart problems and after testing they found it was MD.
My MD starts with dizziness and as long as I take meclizine I get back to normal. If I don't take the meclizine in a timely manner I get vertigo. I found this out the hard way when my boss and his assistant carried out of work to head to the hospital. I'm thankful meclizine works.

Yes that's exactly how I feel like I'm going to pass out. I never experienced the spinning vetigo

I see you are in your 60s. From the reading I have done on inner ear problems the fine hairs in your inner ear that detect sound and balance begin to die off as we get older. I remember one study that stated as much as 50% by the time a person is in their 70s. This maybe in part of your condition to consider. This is why many seniors have balance and falling issues as they age. I am at this point already because of the MD. I would ask that you consider a cane. I can tell you falling is one of my greatest fears, I have hurt and been hospitalized because of it and I am in my 50s. My heart really goes out to seniors who fall, you do not have to have the spinning it is more about how once senses place and time.
