Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Well I went through the surgery on Friday. They decompressed the lymphatic sac and inserted a shunt. I have been feeling so good! They say that you will feel dizzy for a couple of weeks but I've had no dizziness or nausea from the anesthesia.
Good luck to you also. It's been almost a week and no vertigo!! I will tell you it hurts a lot. I felt great the other day, overdid it and the pain was fierce! Also, it's hard to drive because when you look behind you your pulling the area that was operated on. I'll take that anyday over the vertigo!
