Have you heard anything further since May on this Orthokine/Regenokine treatment? I've done some preliminary research online but haven't found much information relative to Menieres Disease. I've also set-up a consultation with Dr. Schottenstein in New York, who studied under Dr. Wehling. I will be travelling to NY later this week to discuss further.

Keep posting any updates please! We could all use a boost on this subject!

I saw a you tube video where Dana White described the procedure. If I remember correctly the doctor literally took his blood out and replaced it with stem cells that were supposed to repair the damage to his ear. If you go on You Tube you can get a much better description. He also said he mostly sees super star athletes but who knows. I certainly hope it does help Dana White permanently!

I have had the Regenokine treatment in Germany with the same Drs. as Dana White. My treatment was in August and I had vertigo till October when it stopped. I am giving myself a year to really feel 'cured'. Your treatment is given on the sides of the in the upper spine; its not painful and uses a serum produced from your bloods own anti inflammatory properties. The staff in Dusseldorf was kind and empathetic~ especially Dr. Hartmann.

Judy3131...can you tell us why you traveled to Germany for your treatment instead of using the Dr in New York who does this? I'm afraid to fly since I've had so many attacks while traveling. I email with a man who had the Regenokine treatment in NY last year and is doing very well. He said it was very expensive but well worth it.

This thread has been quiet for a while but ...

I was recently diagnosed with Meniere's and I did some research on the Regenokine therapy. The following is all from one conversation with a doctor and some research I've done online. Please don't take it as gospel.

The clinic that performs this procedure in NYC is New York Spine http://www.nyspinemedicine.com . They have an office in Florida as well.

They say they do the exact same procedure as is done in Germany. You go in one day, they take your blood, and then you need to go in for five more days where they inject the serum into your TMJ and an area in or near your spine. (I forgot the exact location. My tinnitus was off the hook today.) From what I recall the injections are not very deep.

You don't have to go in every day and can space them out a bit but you need to get all of them. If you don't live near NYC it probably makes sense to go up and get them consecutively in a Monday to Monday fashion. (They're not open on the weekends.)

The sooner you get the treatment after exhibiting symptoms, the better. If the treatment takes hold - They state they have a very high success rate - all symptoms are impacted. Tinnitus, full feeling in the ear, hearing loss, and vertigo.

Once you get the treatment you need to stay on a specific regimen to keep things from getting out of balance. (Again.) I didn't get all the details - Again hearing was off today and I was at work - but it's the dietary restrictions we've all heard. (No salt, alcohol, etc.) I'd hope you would not have to be as hard core given the treatment but who knows. Dana White saying he can eat what he wants now .... I have no clue.

The procedure costs $18,000. Yes, that's 18 grand. I hate to say this but as much as that is if you have Meniere's that might be worth it. I've only had it for a few months and I'm seriously considering it.

There are no other places that I know of that do this procedure for Meniere's in the U.S.. The Dallas and Santa Monica locations, LifeSpan, only treat ortho issues. (Bad backs, knees, etc.

I do not know how much it costs in Germany.

I do not know of any other places that perform the procedure except a place in Israel but I'm not sure they take Meniere's patients.

One other thing.

The folks in Germany will *not* do the treatment if you tell them you have Meniere's. I'm not sure how other people have been treated there - Perhaps they have another ortho condition? - but they said no. (As did another place I found in Israel.)

The place in NY is the only one that does Meniere's patients.
