Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Just wondering if anyone else noticed that in the progression of their illness the attacks became shorter?
When I first started having bad vertigo (the kind where the room would spin, I couldn't stand up and basically just vomited non-stop) in July of 2013 the attacks would last all day, sometimes days. I was lucky enough to have a period of no attacks from November 14th up until December 27th, but in the last 4 days I've had 3 severe attacks yet they only lasted 4-5 hours (Thank God).
At least if I am going to have attacks, I hope the trend of them being a few hours rather than a few day continues. I have been tired all day but the spinning subsided quicker than it has in the past.

Yes. I use to have attacks that lasted a few days. Now, they seem to last half a day at the most.

Sleepyjean - 8 years ago when my MD started, I would have hours of the room spinning, vomiting-producing vertigo. After years of misery and attacks at work, I recently had a 99 day stretch with no unsteadiness or vertigo. Now when I have vertigo, it lasts usually less than 15 seconds. I have full days of mild dizziness or unsteadiness, but this is definitely preferable. I was approved for SSD and retired from my job, so I really think the reduced stress level has helped. I have horrible ringing and throbbing in my head all the time, but I try to play music or the tv to help mask it. Good luck to you.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
