Bananas for sure. Best of luck.
What diuretic are you taking? The Potassium is very important and without it you could wind up in some pretty critical situations. It is mandatory with some of the diuretics. You can not take potassium without food and water, it will upset your stomach. Another problem some folks have with diuretics would be swelling in the feet and ankles and a tendency to elevate your uric acid level bringing on the Gout. There are other avenues available, curlergirl is right on about diet with potassium, many fruits are high in potassium. Myself I eat bananas often.
God bless!

Sorry it took a while to get back with you on this. A couple of things, you are the ultimate decision maker on what treatment should be offered to you, second if you are having problems with the potassium/diuretic and work environment, your doctor needs to look at other treatment possibilities even if they may not be as effective. Do not feel bad, I can not take diuretics either, I get gout and fluid in my legs. I had to get fluid drained three times the last go round I tried to make this work. The stomach problems with potassium are well documented. This treatment just isn't for everyone. Doctor needs to work with you to find something different. All though not as effective I am taking glycopyrrolate (ROBINUL . Look at this link http://www.relief.8m.net/treatments.html
I like this product because I do not have to take the potassium, but I supplement with food/natural. This product dries up my sinus situation some, I also take B6 200 mg a day which gives you energy and is a natural diuretic. Print out the web page above and talk to your doctor. Your the boss!
God bless!

Google "foods with high potassium levels". There are quite a few.
Rachelt, he didn't give me a choice, he just said if I want relief I have to get the excess fluid out of my ear. I've been eating tons of high potassium foods now. So far so good, no cramps but the corticosteroid and the diuretic are still making me feel awful.
Good luck with all!!
Just wanted to add something out of concern for you my friend. On Prevacid which has the active ingredient lansoprazole you need to take this for a couple weeks to get the control you like. The problem with acid reflux issues is that one can not really tell what the root cause is. Most over the counter drugs can mask the condition but not heal the cause. If you continue to have issues you may want to consider seeing a gastroenterologist he would want to scope you (under sudation) for lesions or pre tumors like Barretts disease. I mention this because this is one of the most nasty cancers to get, there is no replacement for your esophagus so it is a high mortality condition. Catching is early is important. The procedure is nothing big to go through.
Just watching our for you because I care!!!!!
