Hi I'm new to this group. I have medicaid and I have Sunshine Health Insurance. I am happy with Sunshine Health! They cover all of my medical expenses and medication. They even cover home delivery of my medication which is helpful because I don't drive for medical reasons. They provide medical transportation to all my doctors appointments, dental, vision, lab appointments free of charge. I only have to give them a day notice for them to schedule medical non emergency transportation for me. They give me 25 dollars a month for OTC items that are in their catalog. They also give me a rewards card. Everytime that I go to certain doctors appointments and have certain health screening done to maintain my health my insurance sends me money on my rewards card that I can use to go shopping at participating stores in my area for a numner of different items. I can use it to purchase groceries, health and wellness equipment and supplies that are OTC, personal care items, vitamins and supplements baby items and much more.I can use my card at Walmart, Family Dollar, Dollar General, and CVS. They provide support over the phone and give me a health coach that calls me to see how I am doing and how they can help me to manage health conditions that I have better so I can feel better. They offer therapy and counseling at no charge to me if I want it. The have 24/7 Nurses hotline that I can call and ask questions and get professional advice and information. They have a site that I can go to online and update information about my account with them, change my doctor or dentist, order OTC items on the computer and have them delivered to my home at no cost to me. I don't have to pay any copayments. All of my doctors appointments and medication and Diabetic testing supplies are free for me.  I get medicaid because I have several health problems and I am disabled. I get to choose which insurance carrier with medicaid that I want that is offered in my area. They also will cover art therapy and transportation to art therapy in my area.In my area there is a place called 9 muses they offer a variety of art classes for people that have mental illness or a disability for free and my insurance will provide transportation to 9 muses anytime I want to go and as often as I want to go. I could go everyday if I choose to they also offer support groups and classes such as Nami there which stands for the National Alliance of Mental Illness. They offer support groups for Depression, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Anxiety and others. Sunshine Health offers excellent vision care and glasses and you can see a opthamalogist or Optometrist depending on what your vision needs are. They also cover my eyeglasses 100%. I recently went to the dentist, and the opthamalogist. I got new glasses of my choice and I didn't have to pay anything for them. I could have gotten glasses that are specialty glasses like transitional lenses and paid a small amount if they came over the amount that my insurance covers. I don't need fancy glasses like that because I only wear my glasses to see far away and I hardly wear them. they offer special coverage and programs with Sunshine for weight management and nutrition, pregnancy, family planning and contraceptives. Physical therapy and Occupational therapy. and much more. The chiropracter is covered by my insurance, the podiatrist is covered. I go to the podiatrist on a regular basis. All of the specialist that I see are covered by my insurance and special testing and things like mammogram, xrays, MRI, Cat scan and very expensive specialty test and procedures. they cover weightloss surgery to. They send you meals when you come out of the hospital for a few days. They cover home care.  I take some very expensive medication and they not only cover it but they send specialist to my home to show me how to use my medication and store it properly. i have a nurse that calls me to see how I am doing on my medication and answers any questions I have. I take Humira injections and those are expensive but it is fully covered by my insurance and I don't have to pay anything. I take Psych medication such as Latuda which is very expensive. They don't deny me the care and medication that I need even though I know I could never afford this care if I didn't have medicaid and had to pay out of pocket.
