I don't consume a lot of dairy and the capsules are the easiest way to supplement.
Make sure that it is D3 (cholecalciferol), which is the kind your body makes naturally.
I was on 2000 IU daily, but my levels were borderline low (in 2009), I've been on the 5000 dose ever since.
I take Vistacost's MagUltra, it says it has 1300 mg of Mg in it, but it is a blend and truly only has 300 mg of bioavailable Mag. I used to used Magnesium Oxide, but if I ended up getting more than 400 mg in me daily, via diet, etc. I got diarrhea. My neuro recc the Mag Ultra and it is inexpensive.
I was just reading about the Krill Oil and am going to look into it.
