This is a product a researcher who is on the MP uses. She says it is safer than nanoparticle zincoxide. It goes on a bit white, but blends in slowly. I haven't tried it but it sounds like a real good choice. The one I'd make if I could afford to buy anything. If you try it, I want to know what you think.

My Dr wants me to use Total Block. I got it at the drugstore. You can get it tinted like a make up, but I got the stuff that goes on white and then turns clear. It is expensive. Havent bought it in a while. I really dont need anything that powerful. Just factor 15-20 on my face for day to day use and factor 45 at the beach.

I use neutrogena Age sheild Face. SPF of 55 with heloplex for uva-uvb rays. It doesn't smell like sunblock. Oil free and non-greasy

I use Aveeno spray, I think it's spf 50. I've had very good success with it. In the summer months, I use it as a daily moisturizer.

i use a product called invisible zinc, i have a big bottle and a smaller tinted one for my face. i hate it and it makes me sweat more than usual but have to stay out of the sun, full stop, doctor is right. hats always. long sleeves, always. sunscreen on back of hands too.

summer almost over, has been quite good with much cloud cover and rain this season, drought has broken. still, sun number one enemy just in front of stress cannot bare a flare worse than i have already got.

If zinc goes on invisible, it is made with nanoparticles and is not good for you. I will see if I can find the info for you all.

Thanks Tracey, that same site is quoted by the person giving the warning. The bottom line is that no one knows if the particles can enter into healthy living cells, or if they sit peacefully atop the dead cells. You choose at this point what to use.

i know cj, hard to chew over the research, nanoparticles just as concerning as metals like zinc and titanium on skin that is damaged. saw doc today, confirmed i should go back on the plaquinal. wants a biopsy on my mouth. no way i said, it will not heal. ok let's wait 'til next month he said. am worried. i still have scars from the other biopsy i had on hands and chest that diagnosed MCTD 2 years ago.
he also said myositis worsened by beer/alcohol. stop immediately. any idea about what vices i can now have......shall i start chewing my toenails?
