Well, I am newly diagnosed with MCTD. The reason I said I should be glad is that they found out the reason to my mysterious shortnesses of breath and fatigue. Still in denial but started my meds right away. im on cellcept 2000mg per day and prednisone 10mg per day. it has been about 3 weeks now and I can see improvement, i find that about 4 hours after taking med i get slightly short of breath along with the brain fog.  Not sure what to expect in my future, The MCTD has led to non-specific interstitial lung disease with just a little bit of scarring but a lot of inflammation that they say can be reversed if I take my(not the scarring)medications. I'm so glad to hear others talk about the brain fog, I thought I was crazy. I have learned a lot of pointers reading this site that makes sense. I am a registered nurse but all of a sudden it's hard to put 2+2 together. I feel guilty and vain because one of the big concerns for me is losing my hair. They Raynaud's is horrible in the winter. trying to stay positive.
