But I'm glad you got it out and there is nothing worse than an obnoxious neighbour! I have good ones on one side and not so great on the other, luckily they are a bit further away and not on the driveway side.

Here I have this disease, have put 2 kids through school, am putting a 3rd through school, have a disabled kid at home. I work as a nurse for 24 hours a week at a job I like but with people I mostly dont like. Selfish little snots! My husband works 40 hours a week on contract. WE could retire but we are working so we can pay our house off, get my daughter through college without a loan, and set up a trust fund for our disabled daughter.
So, my oldest daughter that we put through college with a BS and a MS, gets married to a guy with over $50,000 in loans so he could get degrees in latin and ancient history. They lived in Florida for 2 years so he could go to school some more. My daughter could not get a job down there in her field, so she was an assistant manager in a clothing store. My son in law taught a class at the university.
He graduated and she got a summer job teaching art at the local art museum. It was to be full time, but most of the time it was about 20 hours. My son in law didnt work as "he needed the time off' because he had been working so hard!!!!
They move in with me because they ran out of money. After they got here, they got minimum wage jobs right away. My daughter works 2 jobs, both part time. My son in law works one 40 hour a week job. He says he has no money left after paying for gas and lunches and is always asking my daughter for money. Last week he bought a new set of $70 head phones and an amplifier! My daughter is wearing clothes with holes in them. She paints, knits, sews and sell this stuff on her days off.
So, now he has been working full time for 3 months and needs time off, so they go to the beach for a week! Meanwhile, I am working, my husband is working. And I am paying the water, electric, and my daughters health insurance, while they are on the beach!
Have I got a right to be royally pissed off????? Do I even need to ask this question????? No I dont! I am Pissed Off!
The payments on the student loans start the end of this month. They better not ask me for money. They are already driving my old car and I had to give them $200 to pay for gas for the truck to move them here!
Now I have complained to someone else except my spouse who is already furious bout the vacation. We understand about the difficulty in finding a good job right now and are OK with them living here as long as they work and pay their bills and save to move out when they can. But the things my son in law spends his ( and her) money on is a problem that is going to cause a break up their marriage. I see my daughters resentment growing along with mine. All the offers I have made to help with budgeting are pushed to the side by him. Shit.
I better stop. I am getting chest pain.

Thanks for the rant!
Luna, I guess your hubby doesn't recognize that you have a "Full Time JOB" talking care of the house, kids, meals, socks on the floors, spills drinks, and the millions of little things that can really add up during the 24 hour/7 days a week job of being a Mom. Your hubby probably doesn't get it, why should he if everything is always done?...Maybe you can gently back-off a little, and let him know that you were not able to vacumn today, so would he mind doing it?...Then maybe, a little more of a push, and ask if he might take care of dinner tonight so you could take a bath. If you show respect and expectations for yourself, others start to recognize it. Treat yourself like a doormat, and you get treated like a doormat. I know this, since I usta be a doormat!...LOL
I'm not Dear Abby, and NOT full of wisdom and not pretending to be. But I just felt that I wanted to acknowledge all of you that responded, even those that didn't add a rant.
I wish you all a quiet, painfree day!...Hugs, Debbie
And another thing, why is it so hard for my husband to put the gd clothes in the basket or in the laundry when he changes the kids clothes? Every day I have to pick up clothes out of the living room! YES, the living room, because he can't seem to walk the 10 feet to the laundry room with the dirty clothes. I could understand the kids doing this, but a grown man?
MaryAnn, you need to tell that boy to grow up and get his head out of his butt! I pray that God gives you the strength to not strangle him!
Luna, I hear you loud and clear! Men can be such a pain in the butt when they do stuff like that! It's like the have no concept of the way the world actually works and how food gets in the cupboards for them to eat!
