I had been improving so much since being on Plaquenil for a few months that I had convinced myself I was cured or never really sick to begin with. Starting Monday afternoon my body let me know that it is not my imagination. My fatigue hasn't come back but wow, it feels like almost every part of my body is getting showered in acid! The pain moves about from place to place at will. I didn't sleep one wink last night due to pain. I know a flare is coming when my left elbow starts hurting and burning. Within a few minutes I get blurry vision, photosensitivity, neck pain and heartburn. Those symptoms usually do not go away until the flare is gone. I also get what feels like bone or deep tissue pain coming and going here, there and everywhere. Until I had a positive ANA with RNP, a few doctors said I had fibro. Does this sound like MCTD, fibro, both or neither? Tomorrow I get to retake the eye exam that I failed a few weeks ago. I hope I pass it so I can stay on Plaquenil.
