Best to you.
I haven't tried the Garnier brand yet so I may give that a go as well. Right now I'm using Degree in men's strength and even that isn't working. I've also tried the clinical strength over the counter brands with little to no success.
I came across this discussion when I was looking at the boards for MCTD (one of the posters for Lupus suggested I check out the MCTD group since I've been put on 50,000 IUs of Drisdol once a week for 3 months because of my very low Vitamin D levels) and noticed a lot of people mentioned having excessive sweating in conjunction with MCTD.
Did anyone have problems with excessive sweating at specific points in the month, or was the sweating a problem all the time? I've had severe hot flashes and night sweats for the two weeks before my monthly cycle and the two months after my cycle every month for the last 4+ years and have no diagnosis as to why this could be happening. I went to my gynecologist about 2 years into having this problem and had an FH/LSH blood test run to check my levels and make sure I wasn't experiencing early menopause (I'm 26, so too young to be menopausal), only to find out that my levels were normal and my doctor had no idea why I'd be sweating so much.
After going to my PCP about the issue (plus a couple of others), my doctor decided my problem was hormonal and sent me to an endocrinologist, who ran a ton of tests and determined that I had a weakly positive ANA test result and very low Vitamin D levels. At the moment, am trying to find a doctor who won't treat me like a hypochondriac for the extreme levels of fatigue and other symptoms I've been experiencing lately.
Hope this makes sense, thanks in advance for the help/suggestions! :)
I find Degree brand anti-persp. works well for underarms and feet. I believe Dove is the same.
As for the head and neck sweats at night, mine are very rare now that I have progressed in my treatment. I wish you all luck.
