I had to go to a neurologist to be put on gabapentin which is helping my pain and eliminated the insomnia. But the pain is still there, even with pain meds. And I now have peripheral neuropathy too, which is a fancy way of saying pain and strange sensations in my arms/hands, feet and legs.
I hope your doctor works with you to get you more comfortable.
Now I am able to work out 3 times a week and almost carry on a normal life......keep on your doctor, I also tried some alternative treatments with a homeopath and a naturapath.
