Gastric bypass /lap band surgery

Has anyone had this and MCTD just wondering if this would be a option for permanent wt loss. Did not do so well 2 yrs ago with foot repair surgery my immune systems went wacky but I feel like crap all the time and want to get this wt off but I need HELP

Hi yayabeki. I am not familiar with the procedure at all. But i found a forum link http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lupus/1711131/lap-band-with-Lupus/ and it seems to have a couple of people w/ MCTD discussing their experience as well. You definately don't look obese! But I thought the info might be helpful.

Thank you you are kind. I have gained 30 lbs since my surgery 2 yrs ago a lot is steroids they think the surgery just threw my immune system into a huge flare and I just can't seem to get back in the swing of things. The wright I gained I cannot seem to get it off.
If I lost 40 lbs would be very happy but still not at my ideal wt is what th society tell us anyway. I know that is extreme but it is a permanent solution and since my body won't let me be as active as I used to thought that would be a perfect solution but risky with my hx of surgery issues.

You are more than welcome. I understand your hesitation but also your HOPE!!! It's such a struggle to be active without knocking yourself out of commission for a month. I certainly hope you find the right solution! Much luv to u & good luck.
