Marijuana Addiction & Recovery Support Group
This community is dedicated to those looking to overcome their addiction to marijuana, a drug produced from parts of the cannabis plant. Join the group to find support among people who are also looking to cease their habit of smoking marijuana, share your experience, and get advice. It's not easy to kick the habit, but together we can.
All you can do is love him unconditionally, even if it means tough love.
Tell him how you feel, why you're worried, and remind him that he brought a life into this world and one day he's going to have to answer all of his child's questions on where he's been and why.
I would most concerned about the meth, pot can easily be abused but is by far nothing in comparison.
I've had family and friends fall and fall again to drug abuse. Just keep loving him because eventually everyone gives up on people in that situation unless their in the same position.
If you REALLY want to help him, and he is using meth and going down a dark road perhaps have a little intervention with him. Offer to help him with rehab, and then maybe even relocate to a new area because as long as the people from his old group are around it will be that much harder to change for the better:
Best of luck to you and your grandson, he's so lucky to have someone who cares enough to ask for advice. Just remember, it's not your fault if he doesn't change, he's on his own journey and his own choices to make to become the man he's meant to be. Be patient. Someone addicted has altered the thought processes so they are not exactly who they really are as long as they surrender their control.
