White blood cell count?

It has been four years since I have received any treatment for Lymes. They went fairly well. Along with lymes I had three co-infections and was treated for them as well. These days I am suffering again with signs of lymes. Fatigue is everyday, joint and head aches is all day. I received some news that my white blood cell count is elevated. Would someone know if there is a realtionship with lymes and or it coming back. I have to wait to see my Lymes doctor for a few weeks or more because I am no longer her patient and have to pursue this as a new patient because it has been years since I was under her care. Any information is appreciated.

Since lyme isn't cured, but rather lay dormant, it can most certainly come back. I also know my WBC goes very high when my lyme symptoms are flaring.

lymes is a little like cancer, they can't cure it but just put it to sleep but it always come back. lymes is such a wonderful thing ::rolles is eyes::. I hope ya can get feeling better. I had two co infections as well.

hi there, from what I understand, lyme comes in three forms- free, like in blood, deep tissue-hiding in joint capsules (although that is still liquid), muscles, fibers; and in a cystic form whereby it walls itself off to protect it from lyme killers. If you are having symptoms again, it is vital you be tested for that and co-infections. I had what I thought was a major or worse exposure to lyme, but instead I was reinfected with two co-infections (erlichia and rocky mountain spotted fever-both of which are rickettsial infections). Yes. Just to chime in here. For certain, unless it's treated in the
very early stages, Lyme turns into chronic Lyme. Which is what
I would imagine what most people have here. And the main
treatment is with anitbiotics. From what I've read (and I'm not
pretending to be the authority by any means) antibiotics kills off
some of the spirochetes, but others are driven deeper into the
system and suppressed. Since they have a life c ycle some of
which Free Georgia mentions they will hide in tissues and
'rehatch' and then become active again. I would imagine
you were treated with antibiotics? I heard a woman speak
who treated herself with homeopathics and has recovered
from Lyme. She has written a book, Out of the Woods, which
you can probably google. There's another book which I like,
by Bryan Rossner, "Treating Lyme with Rife". He outlines
and shows photos of the life cycles of the various spirochetes
and co-infections. I learned alot from reading his book.
