SCRATCH THAT.... its still not available.... crap. It's THERE, but not there.... in other words, what is holding up the works I wonder? It's been "there but not there" for months.

Why don't you ask netflix about it? I have two copies of the DVD that I got at www.underourskin.com. So they are for sale there. They've even sent me emails saying they are on sale now.

I have one for myself, but I know people have been waiting... family and friends, to see it on Netflix... it's been on "hold" for months. Very strange. I suspect it has something to do with UOS and their wanting to ensure it is only used for home use... I think they don't want this as it is financially bad for them.... not that it's a bad thing. I understand UOS position, but frustrating to see it in the list but NOT in the list, ya know?

I do not have a copy and have been waiting for it to be available on netflix forever . It is in my Queue but it says "availability unknown". I have only seen trailers and watched part of it at my doc's office. Dying to see the rest. Just can't buy it right now.

Well I just used the Contact Us button to ask Under Our Skin.com if they knew what the hold up is. We'll see if I get a response.

I bought it and have it sitting here unopened. I can't seem to bring myself to watch it. I'm one month into treatment and am emotionally doing ok. I'm afraid that watching it might push me over the edge emotionally. Maybe it's a little like putting my head in the sand. What do you think?

I owned it for 3 months before I watched it, and when I did I invited two other lymies over to watch it with me (both happen to be psycho therapists lol so I figured I was ready for anything)!!! that was a good way for me to do it... with friends in the room. I still cry every time I see it, but I also learn something new, or notice something different each time. Maybe you could find someone who wants to see it to watch with you if you really want to see it, but no need to rush! LOL! You could and I and everyone esle here could be in the sequel so by now nothing will be that new to you... just emotional. It leaves me filled with disbelief every time I see it.

Open Eye pictures is working on getting the movie broadcast on television. In the meantime no Netflix. They feel they are close to securing the TV broadcast deal and will post it on their website and facebook page when it goes through.

Thanks for posting this. I just had a comment pulled from their blog which essentially said "great film, could you comment about why no Netflix?". I've been blogging for 6 years and never experienced censorship in comments. But that of course is their right even if it is considered bad netiquette.

While I respect the filmmaker's right to make a buck, he might be better served to tap the patient/public sentiment of those who truly want this film out there then go radio silent.

I'm on Open Eye Pictures mailing list. A recent email said it would be available "early next year".
