Sleep Apnea

My LLMD is deterrmined that all my pain is comingg from this. I agree that in certain cases I do snore ( who doesn't ). Just because he hasn't been able to have much improvement on me he keeps pushing this issue.
So I wors a thing all night that tells how much oxygen is in your blood when you sleep. The thing that you clip on your finger in thre hospital. So everytime I woke up it was reading 98-99. My husband is a VF and said that is right where it is suppose to be. Also I looked up sLEEP APNEA in women and have NONE of the symptoms.
He is telling me that all my leg pain which is in the joints of my knees and ankles and all my fatigue is from this. I don't think it is. I have had Lyme more than likely from my Mother just like how my daughter got it.
I am just thinking he is using this because the treaments he has had me on have not worked.
Anyone ever deal with this and their Lyme. Just wondering because it is driving me crazy !!

Sleep disturbance is a symptom of Lyme. Maybe you need a new doctor. This one is trying to get rid of you, sounds like.

i agree with thriver..find a new one. i dont understand why he would be so stuck on sleep apnea when you have proof that your oxygen is just fine while you sleep with no symptoms.. and ive never heard of sleep apnea causing chronic joint pain.. weird..

i see you live in maryland.. my doc referred me to a woman that does bioenergetic testing. he uses this with some patients when he feels hes hit a little bump in treatment. from other patients of his ive spoke to and from my own experience it was well worth is to get this extra diagnostic help. PM me- who is your doc?

Have you had a sleep study? You spend a night in a sleep lab all wired up for tests. My doc sent me for one years ago because my weight and BP were climbing. At the time I had only been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. The test showed I did have moderate to severe sleep apnea. I have been using a cpap ever since. I still wake up 3 times during the night and have all my other symptoms. You should be tested because if you have it it should be treated. It may not fix you though. The pulse oximeter on your finger _ was it recording while you slept? Because of course you'd be at 98-99% while you were awake.

Yes they did the oxygen test while I slept. I just dont get deep sleep. I stay in the dream state. When I was going to the Fibromyalgia Clinic in PA. the doctor also stated that I needed deep sleep. I refuse to go on any "sleep meds" that are prescription because i had very scary things happen when I was on AMBIEN. Without the deep sleep our bodies do not recharge. I also think it is my thyroid and he refuses to even look into that so who knows. Thanks for all the info.
