Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.

It is a very very complicated system, the ecosystem inside our bodies. We are all going into this with varied genetic predispositions to have different immune responses and different systems affected more than others. Then you add on the fact that there are SO many different subspecies/variants even of the coinfections that they do know about. And of course there are coinfections that they haven't even figured out about yet (like the Fry bug, surely there are plenty of other nasty opportunistic infections that they will be "discovering" in years to come). It is no wonder that some people have had bad experiences with certain treatments that have then been very helpful to others (ex: antibiotics vs herbal only protocols).
We can all just share what we know from our own experiences and our own research. Unfortunately there are very few absolutely right or wrong answers that can apply to everyone equally when it comes to trying to figure out treatments. These diseases are just so complex and frustrating :(
However, HBOT has been used for a long time for other conditions. And it often helps them. The jury/evidence is out for treating Lyme with HBOT; many people will feel 'cured' right afterwards but might relapse later.
I think Lyme is partly aerobic partly anaerobic.
If you're looking for a way to cure a co-infection----- there are many other factors dependent on a 'cure' but that might a piece of the puzzle.
